Hi Hurricane users worldwide!,

Just an announcement that Tornado is now out of "Beta" stage, and is stable enough for wide-release.

Tornado is complete re-write of Hurricane, except using the Microsoft .NET framework, and a completely new licencing style/system.

** Hurricane is NOT being discontinued, as it is our flagship software, Tornado is an ADDITIONAL option, especially designed for large deployments, and easier licensing **

The improved flexibility in licensing is notable, as the licensing system for Tornado is cloud-based, and the payment model is subscription-based, with a very low overhead of $5/month/user (or less in quantity). If you go for a yearly subscription, you get 2 months FREE, and all rates will be grandfathered-in forever.

License administration is easier, as all licenses are "floating", meaning they can be enabled and disabled by YOU, the end user. If you want to move a license to a new PC, you can simply disable it on the old PC (The 'activation KEY' is automatically deposited back on the cloud), and then enable your new PC (The 'activation KEY' is fetched from the cloud).

This is IDEAL for those companies with large AutoCAD installation bases, that are looking for a flexible, and less expensive alternative to buying an Enterprise License, which is usually a large capital expense.

You can easily maintain the exact number of seats you require, and change the quantity of seats you need licensed quite simply, and cancel at any time.

All MAJOR functionality is almost the same, and will eventually be EXACTLY the same as Hurricane "standard".

We hope you can take a look at Tornado, and give it a try.

Your scripts may need a slight bit of adjusting, as we've changed the format of the "TAGS" to use the hashtag "#" character rather than the "$" character.

And, of course, your feedback is always welcome!

Just an update.

Seeing as there was a bit too much confusion between the names, Hurricane, and Hurricane-MX, we've made a decision to change the name of Hurricane-MX to 'Tornado'.

We're working on updating the website and binaries to reflect the change.

The binaries update should be happening soon. We appreciate your patience!

Thanks!
