Hi,

I'm a registered user currently using v5.8.10.

What is the procedure for upgrading.

I have not upgraded before as I am unsure if I still have my unlocking code.

Thanks for any help.

Robbie

Hi RobbieMeister,

No problem,

Just backup your /SCRIPTS/ and /KEYS/ directories.

Uninstall the old Hurricane, and install the new version from http://www.74mph.com/hurricane.zip

Copy your old scripts into the /SCRIPTS/ directory, and your keys into the /KEYS/ directory. (If you don't have any KEY files, then send me the .DMO file (in the KEYS directory) that gets created the first time you run Hurricane, and I'll sort out the unlock code.

Regards,
Bill

Bill,

I had a look at my existing installation this this morning and I don't have a KEYS sub-directory. The .DMO file is in the main directory.

Can I just install the latest version of Hurricane over the old one?

Alternatively I have found my original unlock code. How would I proceed if I could use that.

I am relutant to go through the route of emailing unlock codes as my ISP is "freeserve.co.uk" and we have had problems emailing in the past.

Regards and Thanks

Robert

Hi Bill,

I'm back with a similar problem.

This time I have installed a new O/S (Win98SE). I didn't back up my Hurricane scripts or keys directory before wiping my disk so I have re-installed Hurricane but it is only running in Demo mode at the moment. How do I go about getting it back to full operation.

Thanks for your help.

Robbie

Hi RobbieMeister,

Please send me your .DMO file located in the ../Hurricane/KEYS/ directory, and I can forward your your KEY.

(Please don't post the file here)

Regards,
Bill
