Hi Everyone,
A reliability and polish release. If you use more than one monitor, or you
have ever lost your settings or tags, this one is for you.
Windows and monitors
-Every dialog now reopens exactly where you left it, on any monitor, and is
remembered between sessions. If that monitor is no longer connected, the
dialog opens centered on the screen Hurricane is on.
-Fixed dialogs appearing stretched or partly off-screen on setups that mix
display scaling (for example a laptop at 125% with a monitor at 100%).
-New: Options > Reset > "Reset All Dialog Positions ONLY".
Settings you no longer lose
-Options: closing the window with Esc or the X (weird bug reported), then reopening it
and pressing OK, no longer resets the drawing load method, the Delay value or the sort
order.
-User Tag Manager: the same Esc or X sequence no longer blanks all 50 of your
static tags.
Speed
-The Title-Block Update Wizard and the Layout Wizard now open almost
instantly. They used to take 7 to 9 seconds, with Hurricane showing
"Not Responding" while they loaded.
User Tag Manager
-The $COUNTER$, $SHEET$, $FIRSTFILECHARS$, $LASTFILECHARS$ and Template headings
are no longer strangely cut off on some monitors.
-"Pad to ... digits" is now a clear 2 to 9 drop-down that switches on when
"Pad to" is ticked (the old spinner was nearly invisible).
Opening drawings
-The "Use DWGGateway" load option has been removed. DWGgateway was discontinued
years ago, and its command fails in current versions of AutoCAD. If you had it
selected, Hurricane switches you automatically to "Use OPEN (with DBMOD)",
which is now the default.
-The "Other" load command can no longer be saved blank.
Reliability
-If a saved setting is ever damaged, Hurricane now tells you once at startup and
carries on with defaults for that setting, instead of starting half-configured.
Install it over your current version. Your license, settings, tags and scripts
are kept.
