"Hurricane is a great time saver that equals a great money saver! I needed to change a date (text object) in a title block in over 1500 drawings. To do this manually would have involved opening each drawing individually, running a script file and then saving the drawing. But over 1500 times!! Hurricane accomplished this in just a few minutes of setup with a couple of hours of machine processing. It was very easy to setup and test on a few drawings to ensure it was doing exactly what I need it to. Then I simply had it run them all!! Once it started I could go off and do something else without worry. I can only guess at how long it would have taken to do this manually... at 2 minutes per drawing, that's over 50 hours worth of work! Subtract a couple of hours worth of machine processing, multiply that by your draftsman's rate and you have large money savings. If you work with large quantities of drawings this software can save you tons of time and money. Hurricane easily pays for itself in one use."

"Its [Hurricane] a very handy utility to have around. We've been using it to convert AutoCAD v12 drawings to AutoCAD v14. I can't calculate the amount of time it has saved us in doing this. "Prior to purchasing Hurricane I was not comfortable with scripts. The major reason was time; I just didn't have enough time to struggle through the process. Hurricane has put the whole process together in a simple easy interface, eliminating many of the hassles of script writing and most importantly file selections. Within the first hour of using hurricane I was making my first script from one of the template scripts supplied and was able to process the conversion of 400+ v12 drawings to v14 in a matter of minutes. I had also had a substantial amount of trouble the AutoDesk (r14) batch plotter (crashed regularly), which I finally gave up on. Now with your application I can easily script a batch plot any number of files and in reverse order so they come out of the plotter ready for assembly. Besides the tedium of final plotting the time savings for large projects is tremendous, I even use it for small jobs just to take a break. Support on the product is unbeatable, you can e-mail in a problem or suggestion and expect a quick and thorough response. Additionally a wealth of information and enhancements via the newsletter has been very helpful. I had requested/suggested the reverse order-plotting feature and Hurricane had the solution back to me the next morning. Bottom line in the first 2 hours of use it paid for itself and will continue to be one of the most profitable utility I have yet to purchase. Thank you Bill, and the rest of the Hurricane staff."

"I frequently use Hurricane to batch plot our drawings. I work for an engineering firm that does a lot of hospitals and universities. It is normal for us to have jobs with 200 drawings in a set. I can plot these drawings in a fraction of the time it would take to do it manually. The AutoCAD batch plot utility does not work for us with the way are drawings are set up. I had a project that would have taken me more than four hours to plot out manually and Hurricane was able to run through it in about one half of an hour. That let the design team work for another three hours. Believe me, I was a hero that day. I also send our drawings out electronically on a regular basis. I am able to bind all xref's with hurricane before I send them out so that I have more control on quality."
