1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal personal information to provide and improve our services:

Visitors: We log IP addresses and page hits as part of standard web server operations for performance monitoring. No personally identifiable information is collected unless voluntarily provided during forum registration.
Customers: We collect information provided during purchases or for testimonials, such as your name, company name, or email address. This is used solely for order processing or to display testimonials with your consent.
Trial downloads: If you ask us for the trial download link, we store the email address you give us, the date you asked, and whether you confirmed the address by clicking the link we sent. We use it to send your download link and occasional Hurricane announcements. You can unsubscribe in one click, and we never sell or share it.

2. Use of Cookies

We use a small number of cookies, and none of them load unless you accept them. We do not sell what we collect.

Analytics: If you accept, our pages use Google Analytics, which sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_TM6EBNZKZH) to count visits and show us which pages people actually find useful. It tells us things like which pages are popular and roughly which country a visit came from. We do not use it to identify you personally.
LinkedIn: If you accept, we also load the LinkedIn Insight Tag. This is an advertising and audience tool: it tells us whether our LinkedIn posts and ads bring people here, and it can associate your visit with your LinkedIn account. If you would rather it did not, choose Decline.
Forum: Our forum sets a session cookie to keep you signed in while you browse. If you choose to stay signed in, or change your forum display preferences, it also stores cookies that last up to a year so it can remember you and those settings between visits.
Order confirmation: Our thank-you page uses short-lived browser storage so that a completed order is only counted once.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though the forum will not be able to keep you signed in. You can also opt out of Google Analytics everywhere using Google's browser opt-out add-on.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

Process transactions and manage customer accounts.
Send your trial download link, and occasional Hurricane announcements, if you asked us for the download.
Display testimonials or company names with your explicit consent.
Monitor and improve website performance.

4. Data Sharing and Security

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

With reputable third-party services for collecting testimonials, who are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
With Google and LinkedIn, if you accept cookies, as described in section 2. We have turned Google signals off, so Google Analytics does not associate your visit with your Google account. We only ever see totals, never individuals.
When required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

All customer data is stored securely, and we implement reasonable measures to protect it from unauthorized access.

You have the right to:

Request removal of your company name from our customer list.
Unsubscribe from our announcements in one click, using the link at the bottom of every one we send. You can also contact us and we will remove you.
Request access to or correction of your personal information.
