How to Open the AutoCAD Text Window (F2)

Press F2. In current versions of AutoCAD, F2 expands the command history above the command line and Ctrl+F2 opens the full text window. You can also type TEXTSCR. When a batch script stops or goes out of step, the text window shows the last prompts and answers, which is the quickest way to find the line at fault.

The AutoCAD "text window", often also called the "scroll-back" buffer, is viewable in AutoCAD by pressing the F2 key.

To close the window, either press F2 once again, or right-click on "hide" in it's icon in the Windows task-bar.
