EZScript Pro Alternative for AutoCAD: Batch Scripts with Hurricane

EZScript Pro was a low-cost Windows utility for running AutoCAD scripts and LISP routines across a batch of drawings, including batch plotting. For small offices it was an inexpensive way to stop opening drawings one at a time.

It is no longer available. Its website, ezscriptpro.com, lapsed years ago and the domain now belongs to an unrelated business; the last mirror of the product page has since disappeared too. There is nowhere to buy a license, download an installer, or get an update for a current version of AutoCAD or Windows.

Your Scripts Still Work

An AutoCAD script is a plain text file of commands, so the scripts you wrote for EZScript Pro are not tied to it. Point Hurricane at the same .scr files and the same drawings, and it runs them the same way: open each drawing, run the script, save, close, move on to the next.

LISP routines carry over too. Hurricane can load a routine and call it in every drawing (see How do I run a Lisp routine on all my files?).
